UV and Polarized: The most common coatings to block very bright lights are a polarized coating. These are the best glasses to wear when you are doing activites such as boating, fishing, or skiing where the reflection of the sunlight is most intense. It is also good to have 100% uv protective coatings on these lenses as well at the same time to protect the retinas from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays.

Various: Try polarized lenses if glare then antireflective coat if photophobic then various grades of tint if needing to adjust in light and dark, then transition lenses.
