See your dentist: I would see your dentist to make sure the teeth are healthy first. Then i would request options for teeth whitening. I would try this option first prior to considering any veneers or crowns.

Call your dentist: Have a check up and cleaning. Once stains are removed, then you can discuss cosmetic options.

First things first: First you need to see a dentist for xrays, cleaning, and exam. This will give you a baseline as far as your dental health. The dentist will determine if this yellow, muckiness you describe is plaque, calculus, cavities, staining, or a combination of all this. You have to get your oral health under control first, then deal with the cosmetic issues you are having. Whitening could be an option.
