A member asked:

What can i do to decrease the water retentions in my feet?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many things: Swelling of the feet is called pedal edema. It can be caused by several things including kidney failure, heart failure, liver failure. A blood clot in the legs can also cause this problem but it is usually also associated with pain and redness in the legs. These important medical conditions should be ruled out. If they are not present, then a low sodium diet (2000 mg) diet can help.
