Yes: Serum complements are normal in scleroderma but may be depressed in lupus. However, i would caution against putting too much importance on C3 and C4 levels as a diagnostic tool. They alone do not determine which disease is present.

Several autoimmune diseases are associated with low complements C3 and C4. Complement deficiency is much more common with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) than with scleroderma. Low complements can be found in conditions such as alcoholic liver disease and not just autoimmune diseases.
