Not a good idea.: There is a lot of overlap here. Lortab contains a narcotic. So does Promethazine w/codeine. It is certainly possible to take too much narcotic. Also Promethazine enhances the sedative effect of the narcotic so it may be easy to underestimate the degree of sedation. Not recommended. Take lortab for pain and Promethazine for cough only as prescribed.
