50 mg.: 50 mg is the max safe dose of promethazine for ANY indication, including sedation. I notice that you also take diazepam and sertraline. All three of these drugs can cause sedation, loss of coordination & increased reaction time when driving. Sertraline can increase promethazine levels & drug effect. You need to ask your doctor about this. Meanwhile, please don't take ANY promethazine.
