Possibly muscle pain: The primary question is does it hurt if you press your finger in the space you describe? If so it could be related to your muscles and have nothing to d with your heart. If they are telling you to ignore it, ask them why?

Pain: It could be musculoskeletal pain or myocarditis or pericarditis or pleuritis or pleuropericarditis. Need work-up to rule out above conditions. Recommending you to see a cardiologist or pcp.
