I hadmassive polyp removed from my vocal cord 1/14/13. began talking 1/18, sounded a bit better still hoping to heal . now i sound worse! is this norma?

It can be: Sometimes healing can lead to swelling and in some cases a temporary polyp called a granuloma. Contact your surgeon and let him/her know. They may want you to come in to take a look.

Re-evaluation: You should have your vocal cords re-evaluated. This is done using a flexible fiberoptic scope in the office.
