The Nagging Nerve: Neurogenic pain or neuropathy can be quite uncomfortable and is usually most noticeable at night when trying to sleep. There are excellent medications that can help with this type of pain, but be sure to address any underlying cause like uncontrolled diabetes first. Not doing so makes any effort futile. There are also desensitizing procedures with local neurostimulation that can help this pain.
