No: At 22 u could try otc nsaids if u r able. Ur growth lines should b closed so pain should b subsiding. If ur having pain from pressure or a direct blow 2 the prominence not much 2 do, pads? Also an x- ray may show an intra patella ossicle & if this = the problem it can b removed. I would try an injection of Marcaine an c if u get relief, if not removal may not help.
