Heavy metals: What works for me is bismuth in the form of pepto-bismol tablets. I have tried zinc lozenges in the past but they taste terrible. Silver was used in the 1890-1920 period. I don't recommend lead. The trick is to start putting p-b tablets under your tongue as soon as you get the first signs of the cold. Keep p-b in your mouth for at the first couple of days. Cold lasts few days. Bm's will be gray.
