A member asked:

What is the prognosis for secondary osteosarcoma stage ii?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many factors depends: The prognosis for stage ii(a or b) osteosarcoma that is localized (hence stage ii) is very very roughly around 60%. However, it depends on the location and whether the tumor can be completely surgically removed. Secondary osteosarcomas usually from radiation therapy can be less responsive to chemotherapy agents and may portend a worse prognosis.
