About 7 to 10 days: Ovidrel or generic HCG 10, 000 i u will last approximately 7 to 10 days after the injection. Occasionally some patients will excrete the HCG over a 14 day period of time but this is very rare.

HCG levels: Hcg can be detected in the urine or blood using a very sensitive test for up to 7 days after injection. The higher the dose given, the longer the test will stay positive. Serum tests can determine if the levels are falling (from the injection wearing off) of going up (due to a new pregnancy).
