Rare: Papillary thyroid cancer has very good prognosis , spreads to adjacent lymph nodes, rarely spread to other organ s , but could . That is the reason you need regular ck. Ups , monitoring scans. Please follow your doctors advice.

Thyroid: Papillary metastasizes outside the neck only about 10-15% of patients while local lymph nodes nay occur in up to 50% of patients. You should get rai if you are otherwise healthy.
