Depend on stage: Treatment will depend on the stage of the cancer. If the lymph nodes are positive, if margins are positive, if involvement to the adjacent tissue/parametria etc- other treatment would be needed after surgery. See this to see about the staging http://www.Cancer.Org/cancer/cervicalcancer/detailedguide/cervical-cancer-staged.

There is a differenc: Between cancer and cervical dysphasia. Once you have cancer, if u r done with childbearing, you can have a hysterectomy. In the very earliest stages, stage 1a1 or carcinoma in situ where there is no penetration or minimal, you can get by with a conization to preserve childbearing. Are you sure it's cancer and not dysplasia?
