Hemorrhoids or more?: Hard to say without a visual inspection & digital exam after taking your history as to circumstances, duration, quality, timing of symptoms & your risk factors. Further evaluation may be appropriate too. Your symptoms may be due to hemorrhoids, anal fissure, proctitis, colitis, infection, more. If straining at bowels start a stool softener. Cut back on nsaid's. Avoid rectal trauma of any type.
