Dysfunctional Cycle: Dysfunctional uterine bleeding is a fancy term meaning the cycle is out of order. This is most commonly an isolated event from a disruption of ovulation (egg release) or hormone production. Common causes, stress, other medications. If on a oral contraceptive (pill), may need to be adjusted. If otherwise doing well it will usually resolve on its own.
