Not necessarily: Some of the ovulation predictors are not very sensitive- the best on the market is clear plan easy when you test, be sure you have not consumed large amounts of fluid, the lh surge may also be to dilute to detect (false negative).

No: Either you did ovulate and the strips didn't pick it up for you or you didn't ovulate this cycle. Be sure you use any urine but not the one you first void in the morning. Make sure you start testing 18 days before the next period is due and test once a day until positive or for 7 days. If you check another cycle and no positive ovulation see you doctor to get checked.
