It means: There are many numbers that make up a eye glass prescription. They may include the amount of nearsighted or farsightedness, the amount of astigmatism, the location of the astigmatism, whether the glasses or single-vision or multi-vision, the amount of prism in the glasses, the amount of additional power for close work. There are other specifications as well.
