A member asked:

What problems can arise from extra tissue around the heart?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Extra Tissue?: I am not sure what you mean by extra tissue. Sometimes people can develop fluid around there heart which can decrease the heart's ability to fill. This can cause shortness of breath, fatigue, and ultimtely heart failure. The peicardium is the sack around the heart and it can get stiff producing the same symptoms.
