Possibly: See how you feel after a few days. If you have silver fillings or crowns in your mouth, the different metals may have interacted to cause the taste. Certain medications also cause a metalic taste.

In addition: Infections can also cause a metallic taste. They might be tooth, gums, sinus, or tonsils. If you go back to a tongue barbell, use plastic ends not metal. The metal breaks teeth.
