Congenital variation: Arnold chiari syndrome describes a congenital abnormal positioning at the cerebellum and brainstem, and may be totally symptomatic or if advanced could cause problems with gait, leg strength, coordination, etc. The cerebellum might be affected by a brain tumor or mass and this could cause a more malignant problem.
