Well, it could: But you are having a period at the regular time. Check a pregnancy test, if embryo implanting it should be positive. In terms of doing a self exam it takes a long time to evaluate a cervix from the medical perspective. I'm not saying don't do it just don't let anyone ever find you and don't take your own exam too seriously. Gd luc.
