Define Ur parameter: The body weight of an infant can change up & down day to day with a gradual trend up. It helps to measure the same way ( how dressed) & in the same state ( time of day, pre or post meal or dirty diaper) if plotted on a growth chart it is similar to a saw tooth pattern. The length tends to trend up in a stair step pattern.
