Unlikely: Most tests are designed to detect HCG hormone 2 weeks post conception. It's possible to detect a pregnancy earlier but for a more reliable result, check when due for a menstrual cycle or when pregnancy symptoms start (nausea, breast tenderness, etc). 8 days prior to your cycle isn't even a week post ovulation.
