Stretching Excercise: The best treatment for reducing the pain of achilles tendonitis is to stretch the calf muscle and to wear heel lifts in your shoes. An easy stretching exercise is to take a towel or a stretch band, place it on the ball of your foot, and pull until you get a comfortable stretch in your calf. Other similar exercises can be found online. Heel lifts can be found easily at your local pharmacy.
