Ear illness: The most common reason people get dizzy is a virus in the ear but other ear diseases, such as menier's disease, are common as well. These are typically very benign illnesses that get better on their own or with minor treatments. Occasionally more serious problems like brain tumors or strokes can cause dizziness as well. Go to an er or see an ENT doctor for an exam.
