A member asked:

My 2 month old recently changed her milk she was colic even before but sometimes it gets worst could she be allergic to the new milk?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May not be allergy: Actually, "infantile colic" isn't an allergy, but prolonged non purposeful crying that usually peaks between between 4 and 12 weeks of age. "gassiness" may be the cause - or the result - of prolonged crying. Motion sometimes helps, as does fennel or chamomile tea. Sometimes other conditions - like a milk protein allergy or backwash of stomach acid (reflux) contribute. See your pediatrician.
