Depends: Strongly depends on location and amount of damage. There are differing outcomes depending on location and size. No myocardial infarction is good all can be a life ending event.

MI: Your dr. Will evaluate the size and significance of the damage and the potential for future events. The treatment long term is diet, exercise and a bunch of medications aimed to minimize the chances of another heart attack. Angiography and interventional procedure or bypass is a possibilty. Longevity predictions are complex, be sure you learn about the problem so you participate intelligently.
