No: Heating fuel should not cause a maculopathy but i would avoid getting it in your eyes or ingesting it.

Not likely: Heating fuels can release toxic fumes in the air which can affect the throat and lungs. The surface of the eyes might get irritated but the interior will not get exposed so maculopathy should not occur.
