Excision I hope : They need excision as the origin is deep and comes from a joint so the base needs 2 b identified and closed. A simple aspiration or drainage will lead 2 recurrence.

When I drain a cyst: I inject with anesthetic and corticosteroid and remove the "jelly" from the cyst. Usually the area is "numb " for a few hours and then there may be a day or two of minimal discomfort that does not limit activity.
