Gosh, a pro opinion: Onset of schizophrenia at age 36 would be rare, though no individual advice can be given here. Schizophrenia is a serious disorder, even if mild. Symptoms are often delusions, being out of touch with reality, hallucinatioins, difficulties connecting with people and disorganization of thoughts. Medical evaluation and psychiatric and/or psychological evals w.B. Wise before jumping to conclusions.

Sxs of schizophrenia: Schizophrenia has positive, negative & cognitive sxs. A person with positive sxs loses touch with reality with hallucinations or delusions. Negative sxs: lack of pleasure; failing to take care of every day functions; losing motivation; inability to carry out plans & isolation. Schizophrenia: Firstly, do not diagnose yourself. Get a full psychiatric evaluation and inquire about medication options to control hallucinations and other symptoms. Also get a referral to a reputable psychotherapist who specializes in psychotic disorders. DO IT TODAY.
