What is the problem with having high potassium level in blood test report?

Heart arrhythmias: The most concerning side effect of having too high potassium in your blood is the possibility of developing heart rhythm disturbances, some of which can be life-threatening. A slightly elevated potassium level will not cause this, but you want to make sure that it is not trending upward into a dangerous zone.
