Will a hypertensive person usually feel symtoms of it throughout much of the day? maybe, the meds are just making me dizzy-a common problem for many.

See below: There will be no symptoms unless BP is too high or too low , the meds have to be adjusted in that case. Some meds can make your BP drop too much on standing causing the symptoms-your physician can investigate the cause and adjust medications and dosages.
