You need to see doc: Although some sleep disorders could cause this, such as a rem behavioral sleep disorder, you could be having episodes of nocturnal seizure activity. Either of these could result in daytime risks, such as drowsiness and sleep attacks, and even episodes of lack of awareness. Would go to neurologist, get eeg or even overnight sleep study.
