Maybe not: You can start with several things first: 1) use a humidifier by the bed at night (warm or cold) 2) use saline nasal spray liberally throughout the day 5) place some neosporin or vaseline ointment just inside the nostril at night before bed (gently apply with q-tip) 5) if bleeding occurs spray some afrin and hold pressure on soft part of nose for 10 minutes... Already too many: You most likely have an area in the front of your nose that is inflamed and irritated. There are large superficial blood vessels in the front of the nose that are easily injured by blowing and cleaning. Seeing an ENT doctor is important as he/she can look in your nose and see if there is a vessel that can be easily cauterized. For now try Bacitracin ointment inside both nostrils 3 times a day.
