Would a septoplasty work to cure chronic sinusitis?

No: A septoplasty is to straighten out the septum to help nasal air flow. Occasionally, a septal spur can lead to swelling of the nasal tissue locally including around a sinus opening. In that case it could help. Otherwise, generally, septoplasty will not aid chronic sinusitis.

Complex Problem: Chronic sinusitis is a complex problem. Septoplasty will help improve nasal airflow and congestion in people with significant deviations. This does not usually treat sinusitis by itself, however.
