It shouldn't: The purpose of a positive pressure machine (cpap, bipap, apap) is to increase the gaseous exchange in the lungs and raise saturation. The machine may not be adjusted properly. Consult the respiratory technician for help/advice.

It should not.: If the machine is calibrated and operated correctly and the mask is fitted correctly, then your o2 saturation should be improved. It sounds as though you need a tune up at your doctors office or by you sleep tech.
