A member asked:

How long can a person function with an untreated dislocated knee?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on patient: If you have dislocated your knee, normal function will be difficult. Your knee is very unstable and could give way with any step you take. If you wore a brace that gave you stability for the torn ligaments, you may be able to function fairly well. It really depends on your activity level as well. If you are very active, a brace probably won't be enough.
