Migraines severe : Any headache which causes you to have to go to bed and is made worse by bright lights or loud sounds is and can be considered a "migraine". Migraines can be triggered by a variety of different issues including facial muscle spasm, clenching and teeth grinding.

Headache: Your description does not sound consistent with migraine. It could be a tension or other type of headache. Try otc headache meds and if no improvement see your doctor.
