Can't: Unfortunately, there is no rule-of-thumb type of indicator as to sperm quantity, completeness, or motility. He would need to be evaluated by a urologist and have a formal count/evaluation done. However, if you have not been ttc and unsuccessful for at least 6-9 months, it may be a matter of timing of intercourse(s), and can also allow some time for trial-and-error.
