Other bleeding?: How long do the bleeding episodes last? One cause (from a hematologist's perspective) is low platelets. Are you having any increased bruising, bleeding from your gums, or a red pinpoint rash anywhere on your body? These symptoms would point to low platelets. Isolated nose bleeding could still be caused by this, but friable blood vessels in the nose could be a cause. If they continue, see doc.

Several causes: Epistaxis, or nasal bleeding, can have several causes, many of which are very minor. Consult an ENT specialist and he or she can define the problem and resolve it.
