Quite possible: It is highly unusual for a19 year old to need a neck lift and i would get more than one opinion on this. However if this is necessary it is quite possible that recurrent laxity over 5-10 years may prompt the need for another lift. It may be that you would get additional benefit from a chin implant or jaw surgery to further enhance your jawline.

Neck lift: Most 19 year olds require liposuction not a lift. Sometimes a chin augmentation will help if you have a weak chin.

It depends!: In most young people with a double chin, fat not excess skin, is the cause. If you are not significantly overweight, liposuction may correct the problem. Skin and muscle laxity are additional causes usually not a factor in young people. Evaluation by a plastic surgeon is imperative to choose the correct surgical option.

19 yr old: It is too young to havea neck lift. If there is lack of definition of the neck under the chin, a better solution would be limited liposuction or 'laser tightening'.

Too Young: At 19 you would be too young to get a neck lift. If you are overweight then diffuse weight loss will help to minimize the excess fat around your chin or neck. This is a much healthier way to proceed and you will loose weight all over. I encourage healthy diet that is low carb and low fat and high in protein. I also suggest exercise 5 x a week at least 30-60 mins. Good luck.
