Licorice: Depends upon the person. There are significant differences in sensitivity, absorption, metabolism, and elimination between individuals. The response is more pronounced if you already have high blood pressure and less so in individuals with normal blood pressure.

Not much: Pure licorice root contains a substance that can raise BP levels. I don't think you'd have to eat too much to see an effect.
