I had my gallbladder removed yesterday . is it normal to still be jaundice? my bilirubin was 7.9 and it went down to 6.9. i am still very jaundice.

Takes time.: Jaundice will take several days to a few weeks to completely resolve. Postoperative rate of decrease in bilirubin values follows first-order kinetics at 8 percent/day. Rate is not significantly influenced by disease process, length of preoperative jaundice or absolute height of bilirubin level.

No: No that is not normal. I would see your surgeon or go to the er. You may have a common bile duct obstruction or bile duct injury vs. A bile leak. If your bilirubin does not go back to normal you most likely have one of the above issues which needs surgical or GI treatment.
