No: Rib fractures can result from bouts of coughing or even heavy lifting. Given that you seem to have a history of chest problems i wouldn't devote any extra worry to old rib fractures.

Yes.: At age 29, with a history of lupus and old rib fractures, one should be evaluated for osteoporosis. If steroid has been used in your treatment, it can contribute to osteoporosis. You should discuss with your doctor whether or not bone density testing might be appropriate.
