what can cause spotting and cramping right after a period?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Dennis Higginbotham
29 years experience Obstetrics and Gynecology
Varies: It helps to know more about your symptoms and history. If you have had a cesarean delivery it is quite common to have periods that seem to linger on. If you are experiencing the spotting and cramping from 7 to 21 days after your last period started and 14 days before your next period, then the spotting is likely due to ovulation.
