Yes: The flu can be caused by different strains of influenza virus. That's why a flu shot has more than one type of attenuated strain. It is possible to get the flu from different viruses, and a flu shot may not protect you from some different strain that you are infected from. So you could get the flu more than once, and from a different strain.
