What could be causing bp fluctuations from 196/101 to as low as 80/47 in less than a 24 hour period? this has been occurring for the last 2 months.

Drug or error: You really need to see your doctor as soon as possible . Firstly, it is not good to have BP of 196/101- you're probably hospitalized for that. Secondly, it is not good to have such a drop in less tha 24 hours period. That only can happen if you take too much/too high dose of antihypertension drug or , it is a wrong measurement- either due to the machine fault or human error. Go to see your doctor.
