Yes: Wisdom teeth roots often lay close to the nerve that controls the tongue sensation on that side. The movement of wisdom teeth may be the cause of your numbness. Please consult your dentist or an oral surgeon to have x-rays taken and have an evaluation before the numbness get worse.
